Marcus Harris’s writing career was catalysed by a life-changing stroke. During his recovery, he realised that while he had spent much of his life writing scripts and stories, he had never brought them fully into the public domain. That realisation led directly to his debut novel.

Marcus is a published author. In 2025, he released his debut novel Running Away, published by Vanguard Press and narrated by Marcus himself for Audible and Spotify. The book marks a new chapter in his storytelling journey, with both audio and print editions available through major retailers.

Marcus’s second novel, Dead Funny, takes a darker and more unconventional turn. The story explores the challenges faced by the police when investigating crimes committed. But by who? The project is expected to be released initially as an audiobook, followed by a paperback edition.
